Building Relationships to Better Steward Stream Temperature in the Umpqua and Deschutes Watersheds

This research builds from the framework of adaptive management to examine:

  • How practitioners assess relationship quality and dynamics

  • What behaviors practitioners use to build and maintain relationships

  • How practitioners decide whether their relationship-building strategies are “working”

  • How organizational norms, expectations, and constraints shape relationship-building work
